Resumo
O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a associação entre a severidade da Síndrome da Apneia Obstrutiva do Sono (SAOS) com sintomas de DTM (Disfunção Temporomandibular), bruxismo do sono e cefaleias primárias. Método: Foi realizado um estudo observacional transversal com amostra composta por 119 pacientes que realizaram o exame de polissonografia em clínica específica. Questionários sobre sintomas de DTM, cefaleia, bruxismo e anamnese geral foram aplicados. Os dados foram analisados através de regressão logística múltipla, considerando um nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: As prevalências de cefaleia, DTM e Bruxismo entre os portadores da AOS foram respectivamente: 56,3%, 32,8% e 26,1%. Não houve associação significativa entre a presença de cefaleia, sintomas de DTM e bruxismo e a severidade da AOS (p>0,05). Conclusão: Não houve associação entre a severidade da SAOS e as cefaleias primárias diagnosticadas na amostra, os sintomas de DTM e relato de bruxismo do sono.
