Bullying in physical education classes: analysis of cases the perspective of teachers

Abstract

Bullying is a word of English origin, used to describe acts of physical or psychological violence, intentional and repeated, practiced by an individual or group, in order to intimidate or harm another individual. These attacks can be given in two different ways: orally and / or physically, and both can cause irreparable damage to the victims, causing losses in their lives, both present and future, as well as damage to physical and mental health. This study aimed to find out if there are instances of bullying in physical education classes, the types and how often they happen to know the attitude of teachers with these cases. This study was carried out a literature search and field, qualitative, descriptive method, using as an instrument of data collection a
structured questionnaire in 16 physical education teachers in a period of four weeks in six different public and private schools. The results show that there
are frequent instances of bullying during the lessonsof physical education, and that teachers are aware of the attacks and their consequences, and has addressed these cases the direction, so this can make reasonable arrangements.
