Abstract
In this project, the difference between the adhesion strength when double-laying and simple bonding was analyzed, using the type AC-II and AC-III type mortars. Through this study, it was intended to identify and analyze the probable and main reasons for the incidence of detachments in ceramic coating, focusing mainly on settlement techniques. In this way, settlement was carried out following the recommendation of the technical standards and, also, according to the most used practice in the market. The aim was to verify the influence of the laying processes on the resistance to the adhesion of the ceramic tiles to the mortar and, in this way, to assist in the verification of the causes of the detachment.
